Jane and Lee

The majority of weddings I tend to photograph these days are usually large, with 80 or more guests, so it was nice to be invited to cover a smaller wedding with just Jane & Lee's family and close friends in attendance. The whole day was very relaxed and had a warmth and atmosphere which made my job so easy. I think that Crosby Lodge, near Calisle, was the perfect venue for their intimate wedding. Jane was wearing one of the most simple, but stylish wedding gowns I have seen and looked absoultley fantastic! The combination of a lovely couple, family, friends and Crosby Lodge's beautiful garden, made it a memorable day for all.

Sarah & James

I always enjoy meeting a bride and groom before their wedding, but Sarah and James stand out in my mind more than most - poor Sarah hobbled into my studio with a cast on her leg... luckily it was all healed in time for the wedding! They have a love for the outdoors and are passionate about the lake district (especially when they are on their mountain bikes), so it came as no surprise that they had chosen Leeming House as their wedding venue, a beautiful country house hotel with stunning grounds, just off the shore of Ullswater. Sarah and James' wedding was an amazing event and they have asked us in particular to thank Graham Devine (Leeming House General Manager), Michelle Hipwell (Wedding Coordinator) and Richard Matthews (Toast Master) for their contribution in making everything just perfect.

Firstly Sarah...

Now the band. 'Bass, Tone, Slap' recently appeared on the BBC show 'Dragon's Den' and walked away with a load of cash for their business... Well done guys! They created a fantastic atmosphere at Sarah and James' wedding, we were bouncing around all day!

Jason the Juggling Jester kept everyone entertained... not just the children!

The weather was perfect, as was the couple...

The backdrop wasn't too bad either!!

Sarah and James' wedding was themed around their honeymoon.... Tandem cycling around the Hebrides. Any 'Helmet-Cam' footage then guys?

Lisa & Craig

I'd like to kick off my blog with the lovely wedding of Lisa and Craig. They both work in the medical profession and live in New Hartley, Whitby Bay. It was April, they were married at the beautiful St. John's Church in Hensingham and had their reception at Hundith Hill Hall with jaw dropping views of the lakeland fells, just outside of Cockermouth in Cumbria.
Thankfully we started a bit of a trend for this year, in that the sun shined! This was perfect for our relaxed and informal style of photography.

Lisa and Craig's wedding suppliers:

Dress: Maggie Sottero gown - Blossom
Bridesmaids Dresses: Alexia Designs
Wedding Car: Cars of Distinction - Langwathby, Penrith
Flowers: Rose Budz - Whitehaven
Stationary: Wish Crafts - Blagdon Hall Estate, Newcastle

The girls getting ready.......

As you can see, Lisa looked absolutely stunning in her Maggie Sottero gown!

Nervous are we Craig.......

At the Church. Lisa's bridesmaids looked fantastic in the 'black and cream' theme she has chosen.

The church was stunning and because it was April there was a fantastic covering of daffodils in the grounds.... We couldn't resist this one!

We left Lisa and Craig at Hundith Hill Hall to enjoy their evening and the rest of the sunshine!
